While consulting in practice management, Linda O'Grady became aware of the need for a different type of format to train dental offices in the hygiene arena. It became apparent that to be effective, the whole staff needed to be present and information introduced all at one time. This encourages philosophy alignment among staff and also allows for addressing particular staff concerns.

Linda began her alliance with Valerie Williams in 1990. They spent over a year developing the program together, and have been refining it since 1991. In the past seven years, they have trained over 120 clients in Advanced Hygiene Concepts.

The combination of front and back is a real benefit to practices. The approach is to implement systems that will allow offices to run smoothly and efficiently while practicing to a high standard of care and to treat periodontal disease in the early stages where we can be most predictive of the results. We have no gimmicks or special devices. The information is based on sound dentistry and consistency in monitoring patients' periodontal status so everyone wins - patient, Doctor, hygienist and staff.
