CONTENTS OF COMPANY SAFE DEPOSIT BOX
Note: Since you own your own business, get a company safe deposit box at the bank. These boxes aren't sealed at death, so it will be easier for your heirs or other interested parties to get into them. Keep your wills and insurance policies there.
Durable power of attorney for health care
Wills and trusts - or, leave the originals with your lawyer, keeping a copy for yourself. On your copy, put the lawyer's name, address, and phone number.
Life and disability insurance policies, with name, address & phone no. of your agent attached
Other insurance policies (homeowners, auto, liability, health, etc.), with name, address & phone no. of your agent attached
Household inventory and pictures or videotape
Reminder: have you made your videotape of home and office contents and stored it offsite? If not, do it now!!!
Personal papers: birth certificate, marriage certificate, all documents relating to separation and divorce, military service records, citizenship or adoption papers, diplomas, licenses, passports, social security cards, and family health records
Receipts for high-cost purchases like jewelry, furs, art and antiques
Note: Your credit card
monthly billing statements are a convenient way to establish what you've bought, and
how much you paid. We bundle all of our statements once a year and store them.
Deeds, titles (including title to your car), title insurance, surveys
Receipt for paid-off debts
Notes receivable (money owed to you)
Employment contracts, partnership agreements, and other vital business agreements
Please have a data backup for your computer system safely stored, and replace it weekly

Should be labeled and filed in your home filing cabinet. This includes:
Any insurance policies not filed in your safe deposit box, and insurance agents.
Employee benefits and the phone number of the office that handles them.
