Emergency Procedures

Don't overlook safety precautions that protect you and your family. Key issues:

Make sure every adult family member and older children also know how to turn off the gas and electricity.
Store sufficient nonperishable food and bottled water (PG&E recommends a one-week supply). Also store a multi-purpose fire extinguisher, flashlight, battery-operated radio and fresh batteries.
