MAP 3 - Quest for the Best in Dentistry

This is a comprehensive three-day, hands-on training program for you and all of your team members.

Each team member will have his or her own curriculum of joint and specialized training.  The program will bring together an unprecedented collection of dental trainers to work with your team.

Starting on Thursday morning, Suzanne will work with your team to help them develop a personal financial vision.  This is Suzanne’s reality adjustment talk.  It is designed to move your team to the realization that they, as individuals, are responsible for their own financial and lifestyle planning needs – not you!

Simultaneously, you will be working with me on advanced strategies for using the Alliance Recognition Program as a leadership tool for setting goals for maximum practice profitability.  We will develop synergistic strategies between your Recognition Program, your WIN-WIN Bonus program and your total team’s compensation package.

Following our separate sessions, we will rejoin with your team to review team organization, job descriptions and individual responsibilities and accountability standards.  By the end of this session, each of your team members will have signed off on their individual job descriptions, daily duties and personal accountability standards.

Now that everyone knows their job responsibilities and what they are accountable for to maintain continued employment, you, your team and our facilitators will break out to develop individual practice strategies for achieving personal performance “Bests” from each team member and the practice as a whole. You’ll complete this session with a “who, what and when” road map to achieving personal and practice excellence.

Our next session will review the concepts behind the WIN-WIN Team Bonus program with your team:

Bonuses are earned not given.

You can eliminate the adversarial relationship between doctor and staff over money.

Bonuses are paid for work above and beyond the norm.

The doctor deserves to increase profits by $12,000 to $48,000 in the next 18 months.

Staff should share in the rewards of successfully increasing production and collections.

Our strategy so far has been to:

  1. Get your team to accept personal responsibility for their own lifestyle and financial well-being.

  2. Clearly define and accept their individual job duties and a standard of personal accountability as practice team members.

  3. Set goals and develop strategies for achieving a personal performance “Best” from each team member and the practice as a whole.

  4. Understand that compensation is tied to personal and team performance.

Now it’s time to train each team member in the core competencies of their individual jobs and areas of accountability.  Our approach here is to focus on the “Core” concepts and skills that can be implemented easily and quickly in your practice for an immediate return on investment!

For these sessions we have brought in the nation’s top trainers in each area of responsibility

High-Efficiency Scheduling – for minimum stress and maximum productivity – Linda O’Grady and Jim Du Molin.

High-Efficiency Financial Arrangements – to cut collections losses to zero and double your rate of case acceptance – Jim Du Molin, Drs. Muller and Lyon.

High-Efficiency Recall/Recare Training – to fill doctor and hygiene schedules every day – Valerie Williams and Linda O’Grady.

Hygiene Case Presentation Training – to train your hygienist on how to pre-present patient needs for optimal patient care and acceptance - Valerie Williams and Linda O’Grady.

High-Profitability Lab Relationship Training – for doctor and assistants – Bill Keller.

There are still two more areas that must be dealt with to assure you get the maximum team training, leadership and economic return from your educational investment.  The first is Conflict Resolution Training.  This extended session may turn out to be one of the most valuable training programs you and your team will ever attend.

We all know that the biggest barrier to successful implementation is conflict.  Conflict between you and your team, conflict between team members and even conflict between your practice members and your patients.

That’s why we contracted with Mary O’Neill, the nation’s top conflict resolution trainer, to work with you and your team.  Mary will teach you, not only how to peaceably resolve conflicts in your practice, but more importantly, how to set up easy systems to resolve potential conflicts long before they reach the crisis stage.

The final aspect of this comprehensive 3-day program is fun.  The program is fast-paced, interactive, provocative and challenging.  But most of all it’s fun.  And, for those of you who choose to attend the San Francisco dates, we have included a night out on the town including Beach Blanket Babylon.  Beach Blanket is a San Francisco tradition of outrageous cabaret comedy and music that you and your team will never forget.
